Kiyemba Fiona

Kiyemba Fiona is a Ugandan PhD scholar in the Department of Education at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, under the ICCR scholarship. Her research explores the integration of ICT in school management in Primary Schools in Uganda. With a background in teacher education, pedagogy and curriculum consultancies, she is passionate about educational reforms, storytelling in learning, and cross-cultural academic exchanges. Long Profile Kiyemba Fiona is an experienced educator, curriculum specialist, and researcher from Uganda, currently pursuing her PhD in Education at Gujarat University under the prestigious ICCR scholarship. Her doctoral research focuses on the Integration of ICT in School Management Systems in Ugandan Primary Schools, aiming to enhance administrative efficiency and policy implementation. Before joining Gujarat University, she served as a Coordinating Centre Tutor (CCT) in Uganda’s teacher education system, supporting curriculum design and professional development across districts. She is also actively involved in International educational consultancy projects in the field of TVET and digital learning with UNESCO, FCA and IGAD organisations Beyond academia, Fiona is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of stories in education, development, and policy-making. Her interests bridge the realms of African literature, educational technology, and participatory learning models. She believes in the role of narrative whether written or visual as a vehicle for inclusion, empowerment, and social change for development.
