Currently,running a heritage homestay called Old Bell Guest House ,located between Ahemdabad and Rajkot. Bell House was built 150 year --ago--- and was used as a guest house in the pre independence era, situated in the serene environs of Sayla near the Sayla Palace,Gujarat. Maharana Somraj Singh's ancestors ruled Sayla from 1751------to 1947.
Humility is a visible characteristic of the Sayla family. Born in Lucknow, went to the Colvin Talaqudars College for his primary education, then to Mayo College Ajmer, a renowned public school of India with a history 150 years, initially established to groom erstwhile royalty of India.Completed his graduation (B.Com) from Sydenham College Bombay and then started working in the corporate world occupying key positions in various companies engaged in hospitality,energy,paper,metals and mining and services sectors .
An avid traveller and enjoys meeting people.
Mid nineties he came back to look after his family and properties,in Gujarat.
