Writing 
Gaurang has written two books,  The Wicket Gate (English) and Vidrohi (Gujarati). He is known for his absurd and non fiction articles and poems which reflects the social and political realities around us.
 
Theatre 
Gaurang has written and directed more than 17 full length plays, 21 Mime Thestre, 20 street plays over the last 15 years. His plays has been staged at various festivals and spaces. 
Gaurang Raval has also been teaching theatre to various institutions and universities such as  Bosco Institute, Asam, Gujarat University, Anant University etc. 
Gaurang has also developed the first ever 4 years degree course on Theatre and Production Management at St. Xavier’s College. Through workshops and camps, he has trained more than 200 young people on various forms of theatre. 
 
Social Work 
Gaurang is a founder of Gujarat based  organisation Sauhard. He is also an Ashoka fellow and former Clinton fellow for India. 
Gaurang has been working on youth development since last 16 years using conflict transformation tools, transforming thousands of young people in to change makers for social change. He was a state coordinator of Gujarat Collective, a collation of youth centric NGOs of Gujarat). 
Gaurang has set up various youth lead initiatives around youth leadership, promoting tribal young leaders, prevention of sexual harassment and to safe safe for young people belonging to diverse communities. 
Gaurang also lead Mere Mat Se Mera Mat campaign in partnership with the Election Commission of India to promote ethical voting in 2017 Gujarat state elections.
