Devendra Patel

 

Devendra Patel is a distinguished writer, poet, columnist and journalist with a career spanning more than 50 years. He writes mainly in the Gujarati language, and has penned popular and much loved colums like 'Kabhi-Kabhi', and 'Cheeni Kum' in the Sandesh newspaper. As a journalist, he has closely covered stories of the likes of Indira Gandhi, Narendra Modi, MF Hussain, and Dev Anand amongst several others. 

Having authored more than 60 books, some of which include 'Israel the land of The Bible', "Gandhi - A search' and 'Abhigyaan', he has been the recipient of several accolades and awards including from the Gujarat Sahitya Academi, and has also written plays and scripts for shows airing on Doordarshan and SAB TV.
